Questions & Answers
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you test my home’s air quality?
Absolutely. We offer professional air quality testing that detects what you are breathing. Ideal for homeowners with those suspecting mold exposure, allergies, asthma, or unexplained health symptoms.
What should I do if I find mold in my home?
If you discover mold, don’t disturb it—contact Natural Restoration. We will assess the situation and create a remediation plan.
How can I know if I need mold remediation?
Sometimes visible growth is not present and mold testing is the best way to know if you have mold in your home you cannot see. Some visible signs of excess moisture that can lead to mold include cupping hardwood floors, home feels clammy when air conditioning is running, odors — especially during warmer weather, water staining, or past flood/leak events. Finally, if anyone in your home is dealing with severe health deficiencies or is exhibiting an allergic reaction with no known allergens present, then you could have mold growth hiding somewhere.
Do you work with holistic health care providers?
YES! Do you need to know if a particular mold is present in your living space? We can provide the answers and provide you with a course of action.
How does Natural Restoration test for hidden water damage?
Natural Restoration uses visual cues, moisture meters and thermal imaging to detect hidden water damage without invasive testing.
What makes water damage so dangerous?
Standing water can pose a number of health and safety risks. Not only does it create an ideal environment for bacteria and fungi to multiply and spread, but over time it can also lead to degradation of the structure of your home as well as insulation. For these reasons, it’s recommended that you hire a water damage restoration professional with the right experience and equipment suitable for extracting standing water, cleaning, and drying any damaged structures.
How long does mold remediation typically take?
Depending on the size of the affected area, mold remediation can take anywhere from 1 to 5 days. We aim for fast, thorough work without cutting corners—especially important in Raleigh’s humid climate.
Is mold remediation covered by homeowners insurance in North Carolina?
It can be—especially if the mold resulted from a covered event like a burst pipe or driven rain. However, this is not always the case. We’ll help you navigate the claims process and provide all necessary documentation for your insurer.

How often should I get my air ducts cleaned in the Raleigh area?
